In order to give fans a better impression of the live screen, this live broadcast not only innovated the form and content of the live broadcast, but also made great efforts in the production of live images.
The on-site production team selected two ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K live broadcast switchboards, three Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 cameras and the ATEM Camera Control Panel camera control unit. Blackmagic Design products such as UltraStudio 4K Mini capture card and Teranex AV system conversion, and use DaVinci Resolve for on-site real-time color matching, and strive for better picture presentation from shooting, packaging and broadcasting.
Before the live broadcast, after metering in different lighting environments, the basic correction LUT is generated for cameras with different positions to confirm the main picture tone, which is imported into the machine for embedding. After the camera signal enters the switching console, the ATEM Camera Control Panel is used for multi-position real-time first-level color matching to ensure the complete color unification of multi-position cameras, and also to ensure the smooth switching of color and brightness between cameras when samples and close-ups are displayed in the live broadcast.
In the process of live broadcast, the production team used DaVinci Resolve for real-time color matching, not only to fine-tune the overall picture color and beautify the characters, but also to beautify the goods, make the color of the goods more restored, and greatly improve the texture of the live broadcast picture as a whole.
Blackmagic’s all-4K process technical scheme is adopted on site, and three Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 cameras are specially designed for broadcasting and on-site production. Its high-resolution sensor and fifth-generation color science can construct exquisite images with high dynamic range and wide color fidelity. It can output the 4K 50P format to the ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K live production switching station for full 4K production. The picture quality of Ultra HD pictures is more delicate than that of HD pictures, and the over-sampling compression and noise reduction are carried out through Teranex AV system conversion, so that the live pictures can be enhanced in the process of streaming broadcast and viewing, and the viewing experience on the mobile phone side is more ideal.
Moreover, in order to ensure the absolute stability of real-time color matching of DaVinci, Atom Media used the second ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K switcher as the secondary switch of PGM signal when three Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 cameras were recording live at the same time. The PGM signal output by the switching console is collected by UltraStudio 4K Mini acquisition card and sent to DaVinci Resolve for more accurate picture color adjustment and local beauty of characters.
Since live broadcasts are all watched by mobile phones, the real-time images after color matching are adjusted by combining mobile phones with monitors to ensure that each platform can present a better texture. Real-time live color matching of DaVinci Resolve makes the live broadcast better.
