The FX heaters are available in the following versions:
The heaters for electrical enclosures and cabinets are made from anodized, hard aluminium alloy for durability in industrial and offshore applications.
Self-regulating heaters
The FX heaters for electrical enclosures and cabinets are available in a self-regulating version which adapts the heat output to ambient temperature ch anges. These versions require no additional thermostat controls and unlike fixed output heaters, they can be installed in any orientation. This version of electric heaters is supplied with installation fixtures for mounting to an enclosure or cabin et wall or a standard mounting rail. The FXH-SR heater is a flat-panel version for direct attachment to the heated component.
The self-regulating heaters require ambient conditions which are strictly maintained within specified limits. If, for example, the enclosure or cabinet houses another heat source which might exceed the ambient temperature limits, the self-regulating heater might require an additional thermostat control.
Fixed output heaters
Each fixed output heater features a self-regulating cartridge heating element to provide a controlled heating solution for small and medium enclosures and cabinets. The self-regulating heating elements vary the heat output with the ambient temperature which makes external thermostat control obsolete. The FX self-regulating heaters for electrical enclosures and cabinets are certified for operation at ambient temperatures between -60°C and +180°C in temperature class T3 applications and -60°C and +130°C in temperature class T4 applications.
FXB-SR: heaters with double-sided ribbed radiators; unlike stationary heaters, there is no specific installation orientation required (note: the upright installation will provide the maximum heat output) . The heaters are supplied with a single installation fixture for mounting directly to an enclosure or cabinet wall or a standard mounting rail.
FXH-SR: heaters with a single flat radiator side for a great flexibility of application. The heaters can be installed in any orientation and in direct contact with the heated component.
FXE: heaters with small, cylindrical ribbed radiators and intended for vertical, upright installation only. The heaters are supplied with a single installation fixture for mounting directly to an enclosure or cabinet, a bracket or a terminal strip mounting rail.
FXS: self-regulating heaters which can be installed upright or other orientations. An FXS heater can be installed horizontally or at an angle in an enc losure or cabinet, or directly on the heated component.
HEF: the only enclosure / cabinet heater made from stainless steel (grade 316). This model can be installed in upright or another orientation, and adjacent to the heated components (with a minimum clearance of 100 mm).
