The 7thNortheastern University (NEU) – Tottori University Symposium on Materials andMechanical Engineering was held in NEU on Sep. 23rd. With the themeof Environmental Harmony with Materi alsand Machinery, the symposium lasted for 4 days, during which 4 keynote presentations,24 reports, and 8 wall newspaper display and communication were held.

　　NEU and TottoriUniversity signed Inter-school Communication Agreement in 2001, and held the 1stNEU-Tottori University Symposium on Materials and Mechanical Engineering in2006, which aimed at promoting exchanges of teachers and students between Chinaand Japan, and setting up an academic platform for in-depth communication ofChinese and Japanese scholars.
