Power semiconductor is a semiconductor device that converts, distributes and controls power supply for various applications such as TV, lighting, notebook computers and smart phones. The products emerging from the fourth industrial revolution, such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and self-driving cars, need multiple power control rooms, so the importance and demand of power semiconductors are increasing. The second generation 0.13 micron embedded flash BCD process provides highly integrated 1.5 V logic circuit, 8-40 V LDMOS power supply and 64K byte embedded flash memory. Moreover, all the equipment conforms to the international reliability standard AEC-Q100 1.
ABOV developed a UFC (Ultra Fast Charger) MCU using Qifang Semiconductor’s second generation 0.13 micron embedded flash BCD technology. This ultra-fast charger MCU has power supply LDMOS and highly integrated embedded flash memory, and supports USB PD3.0 and traditional high-speed charging. With the successful launch of the first automotive product using Qifang Semiconductor’s second generation 0.13 micron embedded flash BCD technology, Qifang Semiconductor expects that the application of this technology can be extended to the production of various automotive power semiconductors, including motor drive IC, BMS (Battery Management System), DC-DC IC and wireless charging IC.
