In the concert, CMA jazz band plugged in to pay tribute to rock and roll, and invited jazz vocal teacher Simone and CMA Soul Choir to perform jointly. Bring this is not 4U, Like it is, Tutu, Stan’s Plan, Brazilian Love Affair, Proud Mary, Crazy Little Things Called Love, You Are the Sunshine of My Life. Eleven classic American jazz tracks in the 1970s and 1980s, such as "The Rock", gave the audience a musical feast that blended rock, funk, Latin and many other elements, and the scene was full of climaxes and applause.
CMA Jazz Band of North Music Jazz College is one of the best college students’ jazz bands in China. Many famous musicians at home and abroad, such as Li Xiaochuan and Dr.Gene, have conducted this band. The current conductor of the band is Dr.Kyle, a jazz trumpeter and jazz educator from the United States. CMA Jazz Band has participated in famous domestic music performances such as Jazz Shanghai Festival, Jazz Week of Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing Modern International Drummer Festival, Nine International Jazz Week and Shenzhen International Percussion Culture Festival, and has cooperated with world-class musicians such as Tommy Igoe, Steve Houghton, Michael Packer and Peter Erskine.
