Recently, Forrester Research in the latest Forrester Wave™ In the report, PTC (Nasdaq: PTC) was rated as the leader of the Internet of Things software platform. Forrester gave PTC ThingWorx? the highest rating according to fifteen standards such as "connectivity" and "advanced analysis".

  

  In Forrester Wave™ : Internet of Things Software Platform (4th quarter of 2016), Forrester evaluated PTC and 10 other vendors according to many standards of Internet of Things software platform. Forrester believes that the Internet of Things software platform should "simplify deployment, management and operation, and be easy to gain insight through Internet of Things interconnected devices".

  Forrester made the following comments on PTC in the report: "PTC provides extensive protocol support for both short-distance and wireless connectivity options, and has powerful digital mapping function and a large number of pre-packaged applications including asset management, early warning management, product relationship management and workflow management, making it among the top vendors in this evaluation." The report also wrote: "PTC also showed the strongest augmented reality capability in this evaluation, which was partly due to the company’s acquisition of Vuforia in 2015."

  Forrester evaluates manufacturers according to 25 criteria, which can be divided into three categories: existing products, strategies and market performance. In the evaluation of existing products, PTC ThingWorx won the highest score among all manufacturers.
