IEEE is an international society of engineers in electronic technology and information science, leading the latest development direction in signal and information processing, electric power, electronics, computer, communication, control, remote sensing, biomedicine, intelligent transportation and space. IEEE Fellow, the highest-ranking member of the Institute, is the highest honor awarded by IEEE to its members. It is recognized as an authoritative honor and an important professional achievement in the academic and scientific circles. Those who have won this honor are outstanding scientists who have made important achievements in the fields of science and engineering technology.
Professor Zheng Zibin is the only scholar who was elected as IEEE Fellow in recent years for his achievements in the blockchain field. He is mainly engaged in the research on the reliability of blockchain and smart contracts. Aiming at the problems such as the difficulty in identifying new cross-contract vulnerabilities, the explosion of the execution path of smart contract symbols, the low accuracy of fuzzy testing of smart contracts and the frequent occurrence of Ponzi schemes, he puts forward several static analysis and dynamic testing methods. The related research results have been published in top international journals and conferences such as TSE, TOSEM, ICSE, ASE, ISSTA and WWW, and his papers have been cited by Google for more than 25,000 times. In addition, in order to solve the problem of data scarcity in blockchain reliability research, Zheng Zibin team released the blockchain reliability data platform XBlock.pro, which is convenient for researchers to download and use relevant data sets and makes important contributions to the improvement of blockchain reliability.
Professor Zheng Zibin’s continuous exploration in the field of blockchain coincides with the scientific research concept of Weizhong Bank. In the first "Weizhou Scholar Program" initiated by Weizhou Bank, Professor Zheng Zibin undertook the project of blockchain direction, and built an easy-to-use smart contract consistency verification and efficient security verification platform based on the smart contract scenario of the underlying platform of FISCO BCOS open source blockchain.
"Micro-scholars Program" supports scientific research practitioners to achieve practical results.
"Weizhong Scholars Program" is a high-standard and high-standard innovative research project initiated by Weizhong Bank. It is based on the service of science and technology to finance, the actual demand of financial business and the future technical development direction. It aims to reserve the scientific research strength of academic circles and enterprises, focus on the pain points of actual industries, and set precise goals to gather outstanding young scholars in academic circles, paving the way for research cooperation in related technical directions. On the one hand, Weizhong Bank provides solid resources and mature platform support for practical scholars; On the other hand, we also join hands with them to enter the front line of the industry, and polish and iterate the long-term research and development of innovative technology capabilities in the real business environment experience for more than 6 months, aiming at overcoming the pain points of the industry.
In the first "Micro-scholars Program", five young professors from top universities, including Professor Zheng Zibin, attacked the industrial pain points and polished the achievements. At present, five "micro-scholars" teams have published 11 top-level journal papers, submitted 10 high-quality patents and landed 3 engineering applications. In the two years of innovative research cooperation, they will continue their research experiments in real business scenarios, focusing on the core areas of financial technology such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and cloud computing, and truly apply their research.
Weizhong Bank and Sun Yat-sen University explore a number of cooperation to promote talent and ecological construction.
In addition to the "Micro-Scholars Program", Professor Zheng Zibin and his affiliated Sun Yat-sen University, together with Weizhong Bank, have also promoted the blockchain talent training plan and the practice of blockchain open source community ecology.
In terms of personnel training, Weizhong Bank and Sun Yat-sen University have cooperated in blockchain personnel training since 2019, and jointly offered two blockchain courses, Blockchain Principle and Technology and Blockchain and Distributed System Training Course. The number of courses selected has increased year by year, exceeding 500, and it has become one of the most popular courses. At present, 38 students have obtained the blockchain technology certification certificate of Jinlianmeng, and many students have internships and jobs in blockchain-related enterprises.
In the aspect of ecological construction of open source community, Professor Zheng Zibin’s team deeply participated in the ecological construction of FISCO BCOS open source community. The team developed the function of conflict domain analysis and incorporated it into the version of FISCO BCOS v3.0, which realized the automatic analysis of parallel contract interfaces, provided the security of contract parallelism, solved the pain point that the developer had to manually identify the conflict domain before the smart contract could be executed in parallel in the previous version, and greatly simplified the development threshold of parallel contracts. The message detection function based on network constraints and search rules is developed, which improves the message transmission efficiency of FISCO BCOS self-developed AMOP protocol. Participate in the testing and promotion of Liquid intelligent contract language; The total number of lines contributed by the code exceeded 3,000, and five teachers and students of the team were selected into the list of contributors to FISCO BCOS.
Talking about the cooperation with Weizhong Bank, Zheng Zibin said: "Weizhong Blockchain and InPlusLab of Sun Yat-sen University, as members of industry and academia, have been constantly communicating and promoting each other. We all hope that the cooperation between the two sides will produce synergy between academia and industry, realize complementary advantages, and ultimately contribute to the development of blockchain technology and industrial application.
