According to Reuters’s report on the 8th, John Bercow, the former Speaker of the House of Commons, who was famous all over the world for shouting "Order" to maintain order, was recently found out by an independent expert group of the British Parliament.
This organization, called Independent Expert Panel, was established with the approval of the House of Commons of the British Parliament in 2020, and is responsible for investigating and punishing bullying and sexual harassment of British parliamentarians.
The group alleged that Bocao, who stepped down as Speaker of the House of Commons in 2019, had repeatedly bullied his subordinates during his 10 years as Speaker, and the severity of his behavior had exceeded the bottom line of any workplace. At the same time, the group said that there was evidence that Berkow was a "habitual liar".
"His behavior has fallen far below the standard expected of a member of parliament in the eyes of the public," the group wrote in a statement, adding that if Bocao was still a member of parliament, his behavior was bad enough to be directly expelled from parliament. The group therefore suggested that the British House of Commons should ban Berkow and ban him from obtaining a pass to enter the British Parliament for life.
However, Bocao himself said in a statement that the investigation was a "mockery of justice", the whole investigation process was extremely amateur, and the so-called evidence was just some "anecdotes" and "malicious scandals". He also said that it was absurd for the independent expert group not to give him a parliamentary pass to deal with him, because he had no intention of applying for this pass.
