At the 25th International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits (ISPSD) in 2013, Dan Kinzer, Chief Technology Officer of Fairchild Semiconductor, was awarded the "ISPSD Contribution Award".

The ISPSD contribution award was established at the ISPSD conference in 2001 and awarded to members who have made outstanding contributions to expanding the technical field. On the occasion of celebrating the 25th anniversary of ISPSD, Dan Kinzer became one of the eight winners of this award, in order to reward his efforts and contributions to the establishment and development of ISPSD into a world-leading international symposium in the field of power semiconductor devices for more than 20 years.

Dan Kinzer, Chief Technology Officer of Fairchild Semiconductor

Dan Kinzer joined Fairchild Semiconductor in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Product and Technology Development Department, and was appointed as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Technology in December 2010. His responsibilities include leading the development of semiconductor devices, processes and packaging technologies. In addition, he is also responsible for technology strategy, technical personnel recruitment and development, and technology-related business and manufacturing strategy. He also led the development of silicon carbide technology.

Mr. Kinzer is the inventor of more than 100 American patents and several international patents, the author of several scientific and trade articles, the chairman of ISPSD, and a member of IEEE and EDS. In 1978, he obtained a BSE degree from the Department of Aerospace and Mechanics of Princeton University, majoring in engineering physics.

ISPSD is an international meeting place for researchers, engineers, scientists and experts in various research and development fields of power equipment. Experts in the field of power equipment and power IC gather together to enhance and promote the research and development of power electronics and their applications. ISPSD has demonstrated rich technical achievements and has become the world’s leading conference in the field of power supply equipment and power IC.
