On May 20th, 2022, the European Commission published a RoHS-related proposal procedure in official website, which suggested that tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBP-A) and medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (MCCPs) should be added to the list of restricted substances.
The proposal is scheduled to be adopted by the Committee in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Previously, in March, 2021, the Oeko Institute, a research institution for RoHS directive evaluation support and technical support, released the final evaluation report of the consulting project Pack 15, and finally decided to consider including medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (MCCPs) and tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBP-A) in the list of restricted substances in Annex II of RoHS.
