The police said that in the Grace Richardson Reserve in fairfield, the police arrested these old people while cracking down on public promiscuity in the area.
The Connecticut Post confirmed that Joyce Butler, 85, was the only woman who participated in the carnival, and her husbands were Richard Butler, 82, Daniel Dobbins, 67, Otto D. Williams, 62, and 75.
All six people were arrested and accused of undermining public morality.
Dobbins and Linartz were also charged with public indecency. According to the Connecticut Post, dobbins was previously charged by Connecticut police with second-degree breach of peace. Witnesses said that they saw him walking around the park naked until the police found him walking around in the car. "Clothes and shorts are tied to him, and there is no underwear."
The group of six was later released and will appear in court at a later date.
Earlier this month, the authorities decided to step up surveillance of the Grace Richardson reserve, after some people complained that "obscenity and sexual behavior" occurred in the nearby area.
On August 9, concerned citizens called the police and reported a public promiscuity incident in the forest area.
According to the Connecticut Times, Grace Richardson Reserve is listed as a popular website for public sex.
The park has been used as a meeting place in at least one advertisement of "Urban Bridging Guide", with other locations in fairfield, including a commuter parking lot and local McDonald’s.
The police said that they will continue to monitor these websites and related information on the Internet to ensure that public spaces are "suitable and safe".
