Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a supercar with excellent performance, which was tailored and finely tuned by the engineers of Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, and the racing road test was carried out on world-famous tracks such as Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The creative design, planning and manual assembly of this model are all completed by Jaguar Land Rover’s special vehicle operation team, which meets the urgent demand of racing enthusiasts around the world for racing vehicles.
This model is based on the lightweight aluminum-intensive frameless body (monocoque) of Jaguar Land Rover XE model. The 300 Project 8 vehicles launched were assembled by engineers and specially debugged in SV Technology Center. This model is equipped with a 5.0 L V8 engine and a rear differential.
Different from other high-performance mass production cars, this all-wheel drive car adopts pure electric racing technology, such as ceramic bearings used in F1 racing car, adjustable ride height and adjustable camber design.
The front and rear fenders are matched with large and wide wheels, and equipped with brakes with large volume. This model uses Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 wheels and Quickshift ZF automatic gearbox, which fully displays the performance of V8 engine. It only takes 3.3 seconds to accelerate 100 kilometers, and the maximum speed is 200 mph in electronic limit.
In order to achieve the above performance, this model has been upgraded in aerodynamics and suspension, and provided with "track" mode, which can realize the maximum downforce and further upgrade the damper, throttle and steering response.
At present, jaguar XE SV Project 8 models are divided into two versions: the standard version provides four seats, all of which adopt Jaguar’s latest Performance seats, with magnesium frame to provide maximum support. In addition, this model also has a two-seat version of the track kit, providing lightweight carbon fiber front seats.
It is worth mentioning that the price of this model is 149,995 pounds (about 197,198.4 US dollars). (The picture in this article is selected from jaguar.com)
