Holtek introduced the Flash version of MCU HT66FM5240 for DC-FAN fans in the field of brushless DC motor control. HT66FM5240 supports three-phase BLDC motor application and single-phase BLDC motor application, and the control scheme can fully support square wave scheme and chord wave scheme, among which square wave control can support Hall Sensor scheme and Sensor-less scheme. It is equipped with three pairs of 10-bit PWM pulse width modulation control outputs, with complementary and Dead Time PWM outputs and polarity adjustment with Polarity IO. In view of the control of brushless DC motor, it is necessary to have a feedback signal to detect overcurrent and overvoltage protection mechanism. HT66FM5240 integrates OCP circuit with ADC, which can control the smooth operation of the motor and achieve the function of protecting the DC motor.

HT66FM5240 has 4K x 16 Flash Program ROM, 256 Byte Data RAM, 64 Byte Data EEPROM, working voltage of 4.5V~5.5V, system frequency of 20MHz, and built-in precision RC Oscillator (HIRC). Built-in 8-channel 12-bit fast ADC, 2 10-bit PTM Timer, 2 16-bit PTM Timer and 1 16-bit CAPTURE Timer can be used for constant speed loop monitoring, and 1 group of PWM Timer can be used for motor control 6-channel PWM current modulation (supporting 1 group of PWM Period and 3 groups of PWM Duty). An I2C/UART communication interface, LVD and LVR are used to detect the system voltage. If the system voltage is lower than the LVR value, the system will be reset to avoid the unstable state caused by the system working voltage being lower than the operating voltage. A set of OCP circuits is used for motor protection, and three sets of comparators are built in to support square-wave sensorless control.

HT66FM5240 is packaged in 28SSOP and 20SSOP, which is very suitable for fan applications such as DC-FAN single-phase or three-phase DC brushless motors. Like other 8-bit MCU of Holtek, this product meets industrial specifications and has high anti-noise characteristics.

HOLTEK introduced HT 66 FV 240 Flash Type Wireless Voice MCU.

Holtek launched the brand-new Flash Type Wireless Voice MCU of HT66FV240. HT66FV240 is a microcontroller used in wireless voice products, which has a wide range of applications. General bias in the Baby Monitor, wireless electronic doorbell, wireless intercom products and other voice communication fields master microcontroller. In addition, it can also be applied to electronic recording/playback products. By plugging in the standard SPI Flash Memory, customers can flexibly choose SPI Flash Memory with different capacities as the optimal design of recording/playback time length according to different application situations.

HT66FV240 is a highly integrated SoC product. The built-in high-performance 16-bit PCM Voice ADC can meet the consumer’s demand for high-quality sound, and the hardware G.711 voice CODEC can meet the flexibility of the customer’s voice compression/decompression application. Microphone input and digital volume control speaker output, Hardware spiDMA can quickly receive and transmit data with external RF IC and SPI interface device, I2C interface provides communication with peripheral IC, 12-bit SAR ADC detects sensor or peripheral analog signal, and integrates single-sound-conduction 16-bit voltage DAC and Class AB power amplifier. With Holtek 8-bit high-performance microcontroller, 4K x 16 bits Flash Program ROM and independent 128X8 EEPROM; Therefore, with the least external parts and excellent anti-noise ability, the design of voice products becomes simpler and more reliable.

Holtek also provides a complete development system with standard software/hardware functions. On the hardware, the MCU based on e-Link and dedicated OCDS (On Chip Debug Support) architecture is used as the design simulation of the same package and characteristics of mass-produced MCU. Using HT-IDE3000 in software, including real-time simulation, memory/buffer access, hardware breakpoint logic setting, execution analysis, debugging and other functions, makes it more convenient and efficient for engineers to develop programs online and design mass-produced products.

HOLTEK standard Touch key peripheral series IC adds BS816A-1 and BS818-2 products.

Holtek standard Touch key peripheral IC BS81xA-x series adds two new products, namely BS816A-1 and BS818A-2. This series of IC can sense the touch action of human hands through external touch buttons, and the internal circuit automatically corrects the environmental changes to strengthen the correctness of touch detection.

BS816A-1 and BS818A-2 inherit the anti-interference ability of BS81xA-x series and have fast touch response time, which can be applied to all kinds of AC power products. In addition, the low average current consumption characteristics of BS81xA-x series IC are also suitable for battery power products.

BS816A-1 and BS818A-2 provide 6 and 8 touch buttons respectively, of which BS816A-1 provides 6 touch buttons, and each touch button corresponds to an IO output. BS818A-2 provides 8 touch buttons, and the output can choose to use 2-wire serial output or 4-bit binary output to transmit the button status to the main control MCU.

BS816A-1 and BS818A-2 can simply realize 6-key and 8-key touch button functions with very few external components and PIN pins. Both new products are provided with 16NSOP packages.
