As an enterprise, how to operate electronic acceptance bills? The following commercial ticket circle will introduce the specific operation process in detail for everyone.
Enterprises issue and collect electronic acceptance bills in the commercial bill system of the People’s Bank of China.
Electronic commercial draft system (ECDS) refers to a business processing platform built and managed by the People’s Bank of China, which relies on network and computer technology to receive, store and send electronic commercial draft data messages, provide services related to electronic commercial draft monetary payment and capital settlement behavior, and provide paper commercial draft registration and inquiry services and commercial draft re-posting and public quotation services.
Composition rules of electronic commercial bill number
After the ticket registration is successful, NPC automatically generates a unique electronic bill number.
The electronic bill number is divided into five parts, with a total of 30 digits, all of which are composed of Arabic numerals. The specific structure is as follows:
1. There are two types of bills: 1 is a bank acceptance bill and 2 is a commercial acceptance bill.
2. The payment system line number is the payment system line number of the drawer’s bank.
3. The registration date of the ticket information is the working day when the bill information is successfully registered in ECDS.
4. The serial number of that day is the only serial number of ECDS system on that day.
5. The check code is automatically generated by ECDS system to prevent input errors.
Matters needing attention in electronic commercial bills of exchange
Electronic commercial bills are denominated in RMB, and the amount of a single bill shall not exceed 1 billion yuan.

Sample electronic commercial bill:
Advantages of electronic commercial bills of exchange
First, the transaction efficiency of bill business is higher.
1. The speed of payment collection is accelerated, and bill collection and collection are zero in transit.
Paper bill collection: it takes at least 3-5 days for the customer to issue the bill to the fund center to confirm the receipt and warehousing, and the bill delivery needs the participation of many people in the sales and finance departments. The bill receipt information is manually counted, which is prone to errors.
E-bill collection: After the direct connection between bank and enterprise is used, once the customer issues an electronic bill in the bank, it instantly reaches the bank account of the business unit to complete the collection.
Paper bill collection: 7 days in advance, you need to entrust the bank to collect money. If there are defects in the bill, you need to supplement the certificate or refund it, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and it is impossible to withdraw funds in time;
E-bill collection: the holder directly prompts the bill acceptor for payment in the e-bill system. There is no defective bill and there is no possibility of refund, and the payment can be received on the same day.
2. The time for invoicing and endorsement is shortened and the payment efficiency is higher.
In terms of invoicing, it usually takes 3-5 days for self-opened paper bills to be submitted to the bank, deposited in the invoicing deposit, audited, accepted and invoiced by the bank, and delivered to the supplier by the business unit.
The business of issuing electronic tickets is all operated in online banking. After successful billing, the electronic tickets can be directly sent to the supplier’s electronic ticket account, and the time can be shortened to 1-2 days.
In terms of endorsement, the endorsement payment of paper bills generally needs to be stamped and mailed, which usually takes 2-3 days. Due to irregular endorsement, such as unclear stamp and defect of bills, suppliers may refund their tickets.
The endorsement of electronic tickets only needs to log in to the online bank to submit an endorsement application. After being processed by the bank, the supplier can immediately log in to the online bank to sign the electronic tickets and realize the collection.
Second, the operating costs of bills are constantly decreasing.
After using the electronic ticket, you don’t have to bear the expenses incurred by mailing and checking the paper ticket, saving the transmission cost, inquiry cost and capital cost in transit. With the help of the online management platform, the electronic management of bills can be easily realized, and the face information and capital flow direction corresponding to each bill can be accurately inquired, and the management cost is continuously reduced.
Third, the operation of bill business is zero risk
Paper bills are prone to problems such as loss, damage, robbery, fake tickets, discontinuous endorsements, and face defects, which have caused hidden dangers such as storage risk, transmission risk, fraud risk and fund collection risk to business units. All the activities of electronic tickets are recorded and generated on ECDS (Electronic Commercial Bill System), which is a national financial business operation system led by the People’s Bank of China. This system has financial system security and information disaster recovery guarantee, and all risks in the circulation of paper tickets are eliminated.

1) The billing party needs to open the online corporate bank of its account line.
2) The bill receiver needs to open the online corporate bank of its account bank.
3)ECDS electronic tickets will eventually completely replace paper bills.
2. It is applicable to trade settlement within one year.
