Michael St. Amand’s paintings need us to observe the world in a new way, considering both our interdependence and the universality of our existence. We are forced to realize the influence of our indifference and ask ourselves what our responsibility is and how much we are willing to give. The themes that run through Michael St. Amand’s works cover a wide range, which shows armand’s insight into the relationship between these themes, such as the disintegration of science and technology, social interaction, environmental damage, socio-economic impact and social obsession with youth, which are only a small part. He is willing to explore the unknown, bring our attention back to what we often ignore, and remind us that beauty exists in our struggle and struggle.
